Lead alloy bell fragment, as kindly identified by the finder. Cast upper hemisphere of a probably spherical rumbler bell with a solid apical stalk with an oval loop at its end; the lower hemisphere is lost below a medial rib. Now flattened. In lead alloy, these might accompany other trinkets cast in imitation of objects of more costly materials. Suggested date: Medieval, 1200-1250
