A complete copper-alloy buckle frame, medieval in date. This frame is rectangular in shape and measures 16mm by 15mm in size. The outer edge is expanded and has a transverse groove at either end and an opposing pair of transverse grooves in its centre, with a deeper transverse groove, which would have acted as a pin rest, between these. The bar is narrowed and slightly offset.
