A complete copper-alloy strap end with a sheet spacer occupying its whole width, medieval and circa 14th century in date. This strap end is rectangular in shape and measures 27mm in length and 15mm in width. The terminal end tapers and has a rounded projecting knop in its centre. At the attachment end the front outer plate has a shaped edge with two V-shaped notches. There is an in situ copper-alloy rivet through the centre of both ends.
