An early medieval copper-alloy Northumbrian penny (styca) of Æthelred II of Northumbria (c.841-48?), probably second reign (c.844-48?), moneyer: Wulfred, mint: Northumbria (probably York/East Riding). Ref: Naismith 2017: 119-25; Abramson 2018: nos 997-8.

The coin has patches of green surface corrosion.
