A Post-Medieval copper-alloy pipe tamper, dating to c.AD 1650 - 1700. The shaft is conical, tapering from the flat base towards the top. At the apex is a cockerel, its head and neck are undecorated, the wings are incised on the body and a moulded fantail is present at the rear.
