A copper alloy ring-type himble or sewing ring dated c.1400-1500. The thimble is a ring of copper alloy and narrows towards the upper rim. The exterior has a low, plain rim at the base, above which it is stamped with an right-hand spiral of square pits up to the upper edge of the ring (forming four angled rows of pits).
