An incomplete Medieval copper-alloy oval framed buckle, dating to AD 1350-1400. The fragment of buckle frame in which the pin would sit remains. There are two diagonally extending prominent lobed knops, both plain in decorative details. The knops are flanking a recessed central section on the outer edge. This recessed section contains a 'roller' which is now missing. The remainder of the buckle is missing, the broken ends terminate in old worn breaks.
