A square cast copper alloy Post-Medieval coin weight from the Low Countries, of 4.35 grams (67.2 grains). This weight is for the gold reaal or carolusgulden (which weighed 5.32g). Obverse: half-length figure of king, right, holding sword and sword. Reverse: upright right hand (for Antwerp) stars underneath surrounded by a double border. One coin weight including a star with the hand of Antwerp is illustrated by Withers & Withers (2011: 72) which is suggested to date to AD 1576. The remaining varieties are dated to the 16th century.
