Medieval lead alloy single-loop buckle, c.AD 1200-1600.
This object is D-shaped in plan; the obverse face is domed and the reverse is flat, making the buckle D-shaped in section. The frame has a narrowed bar where the pin would loop around and a notch at the apex of the hoop, where the pin would sit. The pin has not survived. There is no decoration on the buckleand no evidence of damage.
