A complete, copper alloy, Early Medieval, set of tweezers, AD.450-650. The object comprises both complete arms of a set of tweezers, they taper down from the sharp fold to a rounded point at the distal end. The middle third of both arms is decorated with the same repeated decoration. At the top of the decoration there are two shallow notches in the sides of the arm, then an incised double line, a 3mm gap, then another double incised line creating a thick collar. Below this is a faceted lozenge 5.6mm long, then a double collar before a smaller faceted lozenge 4.3mm long. This is mirrored on the other arm.
