A complete gold Angel of Edward IV (second reign, AD 1471-1483). The obverse depicts St. Michael facing front, slaying dragon at feet and legend - EDWARD DEI GRA REX ANGL [...]. The reverse is obscured but has a partial legend - [PER CRVCEM] TVA SALVA nOS X[PC REDEMPT]. As North (1991), Vol II, p 92, no. 1626. The coin has been folded and the exterior (obverse) surface is degraded.
