An incomplete cast copper alloy Medieval spur buckle with a round frame and integral plate, which has broken across the front rivet hole with the rear portion having been lost. There is a pin hole on the front edge of the frame which is flanked by small pointed lateral projections from the plate. The plate has bevelled sides and traces of gilding. The frame is oval with rounded edges.
