Copper alloy moulded terminal from chest or casket handle of medieval date.It is 16mm wide and 10mm in length. Hollow cylinder in shape with central perforation narrowing towards the shorter outer edge, where there is triangular grooved decoration on both sides. Possibly zoomorpic decoration, with one narrower groove and one wider, lentoid shaped decorative indentation on both sides of the terminal. A similar complete example has been found, see Read, 1995, p87, obj no. 532.
