Copper alloy Post Medieval military figurine pipe tamper. The figurine is rendered standing with both arms folded across the chest. Detail is worn and corroded away, but it is uniformed and wears a tricorn hat and tailed waistcoat. The tamper itself and the lower feet are missing from the base of the figure. The figure is moulded in the round. Some sources suggest the figure is not just an ordinary Georgian soldier or sailor but is in fact representing Nelson. If so, given it has both arms it would be modelled based on a time from before he lost an arm at Santa Cruz in 1797.
