An incomplete copper alloy bow brooch. A late la Tène type. At the head is an integral four coiled spring with an external chord running underneath it. The spring is filled with iron corrosion product, probably from an iron axis bar. The pin is missing. The bow is a simple extension of the wire of the spring being not much thicker at the head and having an oval cross section. The bow tapers to a sharp, finely pointed foot. At the rear of the foot is the remnant of a hooked catchplate.
