A complete copper alloy quadruple seal matrix with multiple dies from the post-medieval period, c. AD 1600 - 1700. The matrix is formed of four arms arranged in a cross with a central circular aperture (c.6.5mm diameter) where the arms join. The arms are oval in cross section and tapering from the aperture end before then flaring again to terminate in a circular die each incised with a different design.

The designs are on each face of the seal matrices are:

1) a crested bird facing left

2) a standing stag facing left

3) a flaming heart with crossed arrows behind

4) a two towered building (possibly cathedral entrance).

Similar examples have been recorded on the database, include OXON-9DEB6A, DEV-C7D0BD, DOR-5D40FD, and DENO-DAEFB9.
