Incomplete copper alloy Post Medieval double looped shoe or knee buckle with drilled frame and separate spindle and plate. The frame has two sub-oval apertures on the corner of each loop with bifid concave sides. Simple laterally folded chape of differing copper alloy remains wrapped around the central corroded iron spindle, together with the stubby remains of the pin. Circa AD1660-1720.
