A clipped silver post-medieval penny of Charles I (AD1625-1649), dating c 1625-1649.

Group A, without bust. Uncrowned roses with inner circles and two pellets. Unclear initial mark. ; c.f. North (1991) vol.II,  no.2261. c.f. Spink 2013; no. 2837

Diameter: 12.50mm; thickness: 0.60mm and weight: 0.48g

The obverse edge of the flan is sharply bent upwards to 90 degrees at the two dots on the legend.
