Lower part of the bow of a Roman copper alloy brooch, Mackreth 2011, Headstud 1. The form of the foot and the enamelled decoration "of the standard lozenges with triangles infilling down the sides" are very close to ibid. 105, pl. 71, no. 7095. One lozenge is filled with enamel which now appears green and all the triangles contain red enamel. The catchplate is incomplete, the breaks are not ancient and there is much recent scuffing. Extant length 24.9mm. AD c.70 - c.150.
