Description:
An incomplete early-medieval copper alloy stirrup strap mount (Williams Class B). The stirrup strap mount consists of a D shaped outer frame perforated by two D shaped holes nearest the bar of the frame, and an upper fixing hole at the edge. There is a rivet hole at each end of the bar which both contain the remains of a rivet. The face is rounded, flat on the reverse. The corroded mount is grey/green in colour.
