A post-medieval cast copper-alloy double loop asymmetrical undecorated buckle, dating from about AD 1575-1700. Only one loop survives - the rectangular one. The buckle is 17.0mm in length, 17.0mm in width, 2.4mm in thickness and weighs 2.06g. The front surface is bevelled and the back surfaces of the buckle is flat. A central strap bar is narrower and also undecorated with a width of 9.0mm. The sides of the frame are straight and parallel. The buckle is has a groove along the outer edge of the loop, and the pin is missing from the strap bar. The buckle has a green/brown patina. The buckle is similar to number 566 page 91 of Whitehead (2003).
