A Roman copper-alloy sestertius of Marcus Aurelius as Augustus (AD 161-80), probably dating to AD 174 (Reece Period 7), probably [IMP VII COS III, S C], Genius standing left, sacrificing from patera at lighted altar and holding corn ears. Mint of Rome. RIC III, p. 301, cf. no. 1111. Note that this type was also struck in AD 163-4 - RIC III no. 875 - but that the portrait of Marcus Aurelius suggests it is of the later issue.
