Medieval incomplete lyre-shaped buckle frame with integral rectangular socketed plate. Of the frame only the bar and the stub of one side survives. The plate has two iron-stained rivet holes and is decorated on the front with a black letter ‘I’ between two bars outlined with lines on a rocker-arm ground. The simple side of the frame is similar to Fingerlin 1971 Abb.292. The plate (17mm x 21mm x 5.5mm, with 3mm thick aperture) is separated from the frame by a waist, ibid. Abb. 286 and 291. Surviving length 37mm. Late 14th – early 15th century.
