An incomplete medieval silver 'short cross' penny of Richard I (1189-99), Class 3 probably 3ab2, North (1994) no. 967 dating to c.AD1190-94, moneyer: Ricard, mint: London. (Wren 1992. 47; Mass 2001. 26-7, pl.27-32.)

The coin is struck off-centre on an irregular flan which is missing a small portion of the outer circle.
