An incomplete handle from a knife, of probable Post medieval dating (AD 1500 to AD 1700).

Around 25% of the handle is present, consisting of the end cap and part of the tang. Iron corrosion products obscure most of the tang. The end cap is domed, with a ridge at the bottom.

It measures 34.6 mm in length, 17.5 mm wide and 11.7 mm thick. It weighs 9.9 g.

The artefact is a mid green to brown colour with an even surface patina.
