Roman copper alloy furniture mount, a knob of round cross-section with the base largely covered in decayed iron which probably includes the remains of an embedded iron shank. The top is concave and below it a narrow waist is encircled by a pair of ribs. Cf. NMS-1CF913. Height (excluding iron) c.9mm. Diameter of top 12.7mm, of waist c.6mm, of base c.10mm. Mid 1st - 4th century.
