Incomplete Roman white-metal coated copper alloy Colchester Derivative Rearhook brooch, with the pin and spring missing. The wings are decorated with bead and reel mouldings and the bow with three ribs down the front and a rib down both edges. Much of the bead ornament has been lost through wear, and the coating survives mostly in low, protected areas. Mackreth 2011, CD RH 1.a. Weight 9.9g. Wingspan 22.6mm. Length 36.5mm. AD c.43 - c.65.
