Complete Silver Groat of Elizabeth I dating to 1559-1560. Mintmark not visible (althought p robably Lis). Mint of London. here is a wire line inside the beaded border between the field and the legend on both faces. Obverse features bust of Elizabath 1 facing west withour Rose, Legend around ELIZABETH DG AN.FR.D REGINA. Reverse has a square shield on long cross fourchee, no date, legend around POSVI DEV ADIVTOREM MEV. The coin weighs 1.6g and is 22.92mm in diameter.
