Copper alloy buckle. Cast sub-rectangular buckle frame with outwardly bowed sides, a narrowed and offset strap bar and a sheet metal roller with butted seam on its outer edge where it is retained by a rounded knop at either end. A folded and slotted rectangular buckle plate of thickness 0.6mm clasps the inner edge of the frame, and bears two holes, one drilled and one pierced, to attach it to the strap [lost]. A drawn wire pin is looped around the strap bar. Suggested date: Medieval, 1300-1400
