An incomplete cast copper alloy flat disc brooch dating to the Roman period (c. AD 100-200). The brooch is circular in plan and flat in cross-section. The face of the brooch is decorated with a raised circle in the centre and six raised dots encircling. The reverse of the brooch retains the partial lug for the spring and partial catch plate. The edge of the brooch is slightly chipped and there is a trace of blue enamel between two of the raised dots. The object has a dark green patina.
The brooch is 22.9mm in long, 21.4mm wide, 3.2mm thick and weighs 4.3 grams..
