A very worn and intentionally folded silver Medieval short cross penny, most likely of Henry III and class 6-7, dating to 1216-1247. Moneyer ROGER, probably Canterbury mint.

The coin has been intentionally folded, possibly as a charm, pledge or as part of what was known as the "English Custom", whereby coins were folded during the act of prayer.
