An incomplete copper alloy Brooch of Roman date (AD 25-60). The object is a Colchester type two-piece brooch. The brooch is composed of a head with short rectangular wings, to the reverse of the wings are two central projecting spurs, which would have formed a loop and secured the spring and pin, now missing. The bow is rectangular in plan and D shaped in section and extends down into a tapered foot. There is a short projection at the back of the foot which would have formed the catchplate, the majority of which is missing.

The metal is light green/brown in colour with a pitted patina.
