FINGER RING

Silver finger ring that has a rectangular bezel. The bezel is decorated with a central raised rectangular panel that runs this length; at either end of the panel is a cross-saltire formed from two incised lines, and additional angled transverse line in positioned on the inside of each cross forming an open V-shape.  The ends of the bezel a demarked by a deep transverse groove, from which the shoulders gently taper to the D-shaped and undecorated hoop. The shoulders are decorated with a V-shaped notch with each arm emanating from the corner of the bezel to converge at a central point at the base of the shoulder. 

The finger ring can be classified as a Guiraud Type 2h and is likely to date to the second or third century AD (Guiraud 1989, 181).
