 An incomplete silver groat of Edward VI (AD 1547-1553), issued in the name of Henry VIII dating c.AD 1547-1551. Tower (London) mint. Mint Mark: None, diamond stops. As North, Vol II, P 119, No 1871. 

The coin appears to have been clipped.

Obverse inscription: HENRIC[8 D G AGL FRA].Z.HIB REX 

Obverse description: sixth bust.

Reverse inscription: POSVI/DE[V'/ADIVTO]/RE MEV'

Reverse description: Square shield under long cross fourchee
