A complete Medieval to Post-Medieval lead alloy bi-faced token.
The token is been broadly circular in plan and is sub-rectangular in cross section, being quite thick. One surface has a worn, cast, raised letters C F seperated by a pellet. This classifies as Powell type 2 (initials). The opposite surface shows the letters I E. This classifies as Powell type 2 (initials). The opposite surface has three conetric circular borders surrounding a cross fourchy that meets the inner border which has a pellet in each angle. This is best descibed as a hybrid class of Powell type 14 (crosses) and type 31 (circular) The token is a medium grey colour.
The token is 31.5mm in diamater, 3.5mm thick and weighs 21.24 grams.
