An incomplete, worn and clipped silver Early-Medieval sceat of primary Series CZ, dating to the period c.700-710. Abramson 5.10, Spink 779A.
Obverse: radiate bust of crude style right, [large jewel on crown], runic inscription before, framed in pellet lines above and below. Legend: 'ᚨᛈᚨ', translating as 'APA'. Reverse: Votive standard, beaded to three sides, [tufa above, horns at upper corners], Ts at lower, crosses pattée to sides and large cross pattée forming lower edge of the standard, annulets below arms.
Coin has clipping along most edges and is missing a section of the outer edge of the flan.
