An incomplete copper alloy strap end dating to the Medieval period (c. AD 1250-1400) The object is tongue-shaped in plan with a pointed end. The strap end appears to be formed of a peirce of sheet metal folded at the lower end. The object is undecorated and has two notches in the upper attachment edge. No rivets remain in situ. The object is mid-green in colour.
For a comparable example see Egan and Pritchard (2002: 142) no. 660.
The overall dimensions are as follows: 20.84mm in length, 13.99mm in width, 2.82mm in thickness and 2.47g in weight.
