A plated or gilt copper-alloy copy of a gold Byzantine solidus, probably of Justinian I (527-565). Probably VICTORI-A AVGGG reverse type depicting angel standing facing, holding jewelled cross and cross on globe. -//CONOB. Dating of official issues of this type are c.AD 527-538. It is uncertain as to whether this was an attempted coin forgery or produced as an element of decoration for a necklace or pendant for which copies and genuine issues were both used.

Measurements: 17.68mm in diameter and 2.04g in weight.
