An incomplete Medieval copper alloy single looped buckle dating c. 1250-1400.
The frame is D-shaped with a narrowed and offset bar. The frame is also D-shaped in cross-section with a flat reverse and two knops where the frame meets the bar. The centre of the outer edge is decorated with three grooves forming two transverse ridges. The pin is missing and red staining on the bar suggest it was of iron. The buckle has an area of dark green patina remaining on the outer edge of the frame, but is predominately covered in corrosion.
