UNIDENTIFIED OBJECT

Unique ID: BERK-34A033

Object type certainty: Certain
Workflow status: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation

Unidentified object of probably Early-Medieval or Medieval date. The object is cyclindrical, curved and tapers to one end. In the wider end there is a circular hole and the other end is broken. The shaft is decoration, perhaps zoomorphic in design (possibly a fish or dragon). The middle of the shaft is decorated with a raised crest with wavy lines on the top. On either side of this crest is an eye of a single ring and dot. The mouth is represented by two V-shaped ridges which look to be swallowing the wider end of the object.
