Copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill type. This has rearward facing lugs on either end of the wings that would have held the pin axis bar (now missing) and loop at the top of the head would have held the spring external cord. The front of the wings are decorated with three vertical transverse groves and two angled groves decorated the side of the head, whilst the remainder of the bow is undecorated. Narrow pointed foot at the bas of the bow mounts the closed catchplate.
