A Medieval gilt copper alloy zoomorphic horse harness pendant, 34.5mm in length, in the form of a bird (probably an eagle) displayed, with long slender wings, a short triangular tail with engrailed end and a round suspension loop representing the bird's head. The left wing is partially missing. The surface is completely gilded, with details of the feathers represented by engraved lines including cross-hatched feathers to the body and long parallel lines for flight feathers on the wings and tail. Circa 1150-1300.
