A fragment of the terminal and arm from a small pair of copper-alloy sugar tongs, probably dating c.AD 1600-1900.
Description: It has a thin stem of triangular cross section which ends in a break at one end and at the other expands into a pelta-shaped bowl. The bowl thins towards the outside lip of the bowl. Across the base of one side of this terminal is in incised line; the other side is flat with a circular concave hollow at the centre. The alloy has a high tin content leaving it a dark grey green colour.
Measurements: 33 mm long in total, 13 mm wide at widest point of the bowl and Weight: 1.6g.
