A contemporary, plated, copy of a Roman denarius copying a coin of Juila Maesa (AD 218-222) (Reece Period 10), PIET-AS AVG prototype Pietas, draped, standing left, sacrificing with raised right hand over lighted altar and holding incense-box in left hand. Prototype Mint of Rome. RIC IV, pt 2, p. 50, cf. no. 263. The plating is peeling away from a base-metal core.
Measurements: 18.22mm in diameter and 2.52g in weight.
