A copper alloy palstave axe that has a wide curved blade. The sides of the blade are concave and taper to the middle of the axe. The stop ridge is positioned three-quarters of the way down from the blade, from here tapering flanged sides extend towards the rear of the axe.
There are patches of dark green patina which is the original surface, however, most of the extremities and blade have been damages by corrosion leaving a light green pitted surface.
