An incomplete cast copper alloy harness pendant dating to the Medieval period (c. AD 1200-1400). The pendant is shield-shaped and sub-triangular in cross-section. The outer face is well worn and pitted. There are no enamel decoration remains present. At the centre of the upper edge is a roughly circular-sectioned suspension loop set at 90 degrees to the plate, with a circular perforation through it. There are the remnants of a connector within the perforation. The reverse of the pendant is slightly concave and undecorated. This object has a dark brown patina and the top right hand corner has since chipped or broken away.
The overall dimensions are as follows: 42mm in length, 24mm in width, 3mm in thickness and 10g in weight.
