A complete cast copper-alloy double loop buckle frame dating from the Medieval to Post Medieval period (c. AD 1350-1650). The two loops, both of which are bent slightly upwards, are oval in shape and D-shaped in cross-section and the pin is missing. The outer edges are flared. The inside edges of the underside are bevelled. The pin bar is sub-triangular in cross-section and narrowed with a raised linear rib at each end. None of the surfaces are decorated. The surfaces have mid-green and patchy light brown patination.
The buckle is 19.98mm in length, 16.62mm in width, 1.96mm thick and weighs 1.37 grams.
