Medieval copper alloy sheet end-cap from whittle-tang knife, shield-shaped sheet plate with an off-centre (slightly raised) perforation, punched through from one face, containing the corroded  remains of the iron tang (4 x 4mm). Height 17mm. Width 11.5mm. 1mm thick. Weighs 1.02g. 14th-15th century.
