Fragment of an Early Anglo-Saxon copper alloy Great square-headed brooch, the upper end of an undecorated triple-ribbed bow and part of a headplate, distorted, affected by fire and with all breaks ancient. Parts of the headplate second panel and inner panel are extant with non-interpretable decoration in counter-relief. Perforations in a double pin lug on the reverse are filled with decayed iron. Length 29.7mm. Width 32.4mm. Weight 18.41g. c.525 - c.560.
