Probably part of a copper-alloy mount, or belt or strap fitting. The object is decorated on one side with five prjected leaf shapes along one edge. The other has two semi-circular cutouts and is broken in one place. It is uclear how the object attached but there is what appears to be the remains of a stud on the rear. Dark green patina all over. Probable date: Roman - Early Medieval.
